5月19日Google2016年度I/O开发者大会如约而至，此次大会增添新的评奖环节Google Play Awards的结果也已经出炉，最终《皇室战争》获得了Google Play Awards 最佳游戏奖项。

      在今年的Google I/O开发者年会上，Google Play将效仿苹果的设计奖(Apple Design Awards)也要发起这么一个类似的活动，名字叫做Google Play “奥斯卡”。这是Google官方首次举办App评比，共设立了10个奖项，分别为：Standout Startup、Standout Indie、Best Families App、Best Use of Material Design、Best Use of Google Play Game Services、Early Adopter、Go Global、Most Innovative、Best App、Best Game。每个奖项有5个App作品提名，经过前期的计分筛选，共有50部作品入围。
